RIGHT; Watercolour quilt pillow with the owner's name embroidered in gold thread. The cross stitch rose recollects, for Stella, the cross stitched items she and her mother and aunts had hand stitched for her in Greece before she came to Canada to marry. The items mysteriously disappeared on the ship and were never to be seen again. The pillow was ordered by a friend who knew the story, could not replace the items but wanted to honour the memories.
